Although it has been said that Germans do Christmas markets best, places such as Austria had made it into my list for the best Christmas markets in Europe. In addition to food, drinks, souvenirs some Christmas markets offer a spot to enjoy figure skating. So pack your favourite puffer jacket and prep your instagram and head out to these breathtaking destinations.
- Schoenbrunn Palace Christmas Market, Vienna, Austria
The Schoenbrunn Palace Christmas Market dates back to 1294 and is best for some stylish shopping. The best time to visit this delightful destination is during 15 November to 26 December. Take a walk through this market for some old-fashioned carousal rides and a 3,000 m² ice rink.

In 1997, a man named John Loring transformed the city’s infamous Tivoli Gardens into a twinkling winter wonderland with more than 500,000 fairy lights strung around.
