Flight Essentials

Imagine sitting on a 6 hour flight with the guy on your left snoring and drooling and a baby crying on your right. Before actually arriving to your dream destination we all need to sit through a tiresome flight, which is usually not very fun. Today I’ll be showing you how you can make a flight like that a little bit better.

  • Noise cancelling headphones are a must so you don’t have to listen to that awful buzzing noise on the plane or that baby that’s always crying.
  • A water bottle is great to keep you hydrated throughout the flight.
  • Disinfectant wipes are necessary because I bet you that the tray table is filled with germs.
  • Entertainment, so you don’t actually die of boredom on the plane.
  • An eye mask so you can sleep for the whole flight if you want to.
  • Snacks, because it’s nice to have your own comfort food on the plane and also because I love snacking.

Those are some of my flight essentials, what are yours?

How to be Prepared for Your Next Vacation

Before actually leaving on a vacation you have to be prepared and ready for anything your vacation has in store for you.We all know the feeling that you’re forgetting something before leaving on a trip all too well. Today, I’ll be showing you how you can avoid that feeling and how you can be prepared for your vacation.

The first thing I would advise you to do is to make a checklist. I’m a very visual person so being able to see what I need to bring is super helpful. Even if you’re not a visual person a checklist can still be super helpful. If you have no idea what to bring to your next vacation, don’t worry because I’ll have a post about that up soon.

The next thing I recommend you to do is to never pack last minute. When you pack last minute your mind is racing thinking if you forgot something, and most likely you probably have.

The very last thing that I think you should do is to research the place you’re going to so you’re prepared. Believe me you do not want to arrive in your destination and forget to bring sunscreen when it’s 100 degrees outside.

What it’s all About

“Traveling is not something you’re good at. It’s something you do.” – Gayle Foreman

You might be wondering what this blog is about. In this blog I will be sharing tips and tricks to how you can travel stress free. Along with this I’ll also be sharing the best and trendiest vacation spots you can go to when you want to take some beautiful pictures or even just relax.

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
