Muir Beach, Marin County, California

However, Upper-East siders have their own way of getting around. Before reading on, keep in mind that not everyone can live thier life as an Upper East Sider. So straighten your headband and call the limo—here’s how to spend a day in their Louboutin’s.

Where to Eat

A brunch in Saint Ambroeus or Sarabeth’s is a perfect way to start your day. A lunch in Cafe Boulud is the right way to fuel your energy before going on a shopping spree. The best way to end your day is a dinner in the Gramercy Tavern.

Where to Shop

Upper-East Siders live by the three B’s: Bergdorf’s, Barneys, and Bendel’s. Bergdorf Goodman is a popular department store that many Upper-East Siders flock to. To look stylish but classy take a trip to Ralph Lauren. Another place that Upper-East Siders go to for a shopping spree is Saks Fifth Avenue.

What to Do

If the Upper-East Siders aren’t shopping, they’ll probably be taking a stroll around Central Park or visiting the Met. The Met is a populat museum and also the venue for the yearly Met Gala.

How to Travel Without Jet Lag

Although a trip to Milan might be fabulous, the first day off the plane is not so fun. Jet-Lag, that state of groginess, extreme tiredness, and choclate cravings, even though it’s 10 AM in your home country, is not a fun feeling.

Dr. Colin Espie, a sleep expert from the Univeristy if Oxford reccomends people to start laying the groundwork a couple days before your departure. For people traveling to the west: “Shift your meals and bedtime an hour later each day before you fly. When you land, stay awake while it’s daylight and only try to sleep when it gets dark.” The opposite goes for people traveling to the east. “In the days before you fly, start eating dinner, going to bed and setting your wake-up alarm an hour earlier each day.”

Many flights depart late at night and arrive early the next morning, so sleeping is imperative. Getting your beauty sleep in the middle seat next to an arm seat hogger and behind an extreme seat recliner, is easier said than done. Dr. Neil Kline from The American Sleep Association reccomends droning out external stimuli as much as possible, so be prepared to bring eyemasks and earbudds to your flight. When you land, try exposing yourself to daylight as soon as possible.

3 Mistakes Everyone Makes When Packing a Carry-on

No matter the distance you’re flying, everyone should bring a carry-on when boarding on a plane. I CANNOT pack light, so the idea of fitting my belongings in a small little carry – on stresses me out! Today I’ll be sharing some of my biggest mistakes that I made while packing a carry-on.

  • Throwing your clothes in a big pile

I’ve made the mistake of throwing my clothes and shoes in a BIG pile instead of folding or rolling my clothes. Throwing everything in a big pile takes up a lot of space you can use to pack other things.

  • Not using a compression pad

Compression pads are actually everything. Compression pads make sure you can utilize all your space in your carry-on.

  • Layering your plane clothes so you have room in your carry-on

Don’t try to wear all the clothes you’re going to bring. Wear what’s comfortable and pack everything else. I always wear layers to the plane, but I try to not wear too many layers because you never know the cabin temperature
